David Bradford Joins Fusion-io as Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Salt Lake City, UT November 11, 2008 — Fusion-io, the leader in enterprise solid-state architecture and high-performance I/O solutions, today announced that David Bradford has been appointed senior vice president, general counsel and head of international development.

In his role, he will direct all legal matters related to the company's business, including technology sales and licensing, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions and the protection of the company's valuable intellectual property portfolio. He will continue to serve as chairman of the company's advisory board and also drive business development for the company internationally. David has an exceptional legal mind and his understanding of how the world's leading tech companies have expanded their global footprint is near peerless, said Don Basile, CEO of Fusion-io. Bradford brings more than 30 years experience in the fields of law and technology to Fusion-io, including 15 years spent at Novell, Inc., where his responsibilities spanned four different divisions, including legal, government relations, business development and security. Prior to leaving Novell, in his role as senior vice-president and general counsel, Bradford reported directly to Eric Schmidt. Bradford is also widely known as a pioneer of Internet entrepreneurism. He has served as CEO, founder and advisor to multiple Web 2.0 and social networking companies which, along with his leadership in open market innovation, led to his being featured in the PBS special, Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet.

Bradford began his career in 1977 working for the Hollywood, California-based law firm of Irsfeld, Irsfeld & Younger. In 1980, he moved from the private law practice to the computer industry, where he has spent most of the last 27 years. He has a law degree from Brigham Young University, a masters of business administration from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in political science from Brigham Young University.
