Webair Deploys Fusion ioMemory for Speedy Cloud Computing Performance

Posted: 02/16/2012

With growing adoption of cloud computing, more companies are looking for solutions that deliver performance and speed in the cloud. Traditional disk-based storage technologies have limited  performance and bottlenecks become amplified in the cloud. End users don't want to wait in any environment, so many IT experts are looking for new ways to meet cloud computing data demands.

Webair, a web hosting and infrastructure services provider, has recently deployed Fusion ioMemory in its systems to maximize peak performance for its customers. Webair CTO Sagi Brody says, “One of the key factors in our decision was breaking through the speed barriers typically found in existing cloud environments. We have found that with Fusion-io, our cloud database servers are significantly outperforming traditional physical configurations.” Having compared large disk arrays and traditional SSDs, he found that both technologies resulted in reliability, support, and inconsistency issues.

With ioMemory deployed, Webair has found the solution to drastically increase I/O speeds while decreasing its datacenter footprint, all while meeting and exceeding customer demand for low-latency data performance.

Check out the press release to read more on how Fusion-io helps deliver scalable cloud deployments for Webair’s customers.
