Pandora Expands Cache Capacity Without Scaling Cost and Complexity

Pandora Expands Cache Capacity Without Scaling Cost and Complexity

Posted: 09 May 2012

A few weeks ago, Fusion announced that personalized internet radio station Pandora is using Fusion-io in caching servers to ensure users a consistently high-quality listening experience while reducing its infrastructure fooprint.

Today, we released a case study that includes more information. This case study details how Pandora used ioMemory to realize the following benefits:

  • 10x more cache per server
  • 10x larger overall cache capacity
  • 7 to 8x greater workload capability
  • 40% reduction in its existing server footprint

Pandora also noted how Fusion’s expert staff helped them implement the ioDrives optimally for their specific environment.

Read the full case study for more information.

What's your favorite Pandora station? Share in the comments. We'll enter your name in a random drawing tomorrow (Thursday 5/10) for a Fusion-io tee!
